Rebekah Brannan

Rebekah Brannan has studied dancing since age three, seriously training in ballet in recent years, and playing several lead roles at ages sixteen and seventeen. Now age nineteen, Rebekah is a thrilled to have her first professional job with San Diego Ballet. She began private voice lessons at age three, singing opera since age six, and performed in two operas this past season. She is also co-founder of the unique production company Cinballera (Cinema, Ballet, Opera), which she and her sister started earlier this summer. She is now beginning her second season with SDB and can’t wait to see what her future with the company holds!

Angela Ramirez

Angela was born in Puebla, Mexico in 2005.

She started dancing at the age of five in “New ballet Studio” a small ballet school in Puebla, Mexico. She and her group won a pass to the finals of the YAGP on 2019 and 2021 on the category of “ensembles” in 2020 they could not go to the finals in New York due to COVID but two years later (2022) they were able to go to the finals in Rampa, Florida. That same year she graduated from ballet in the method of “Imperial Society Teachers Of Dancing” with the score of “Distinction” in the final exam of  Advanced 2. In the Graduation Show she got the chance to dance the pas de deux of Pas d’esclave from Le Corsaire with Maximiliano Díaz, member of the company of México “Compañía Nacional de Danza´´. 

In the summer of 2022 she went to the three week summer intensive of “Alberta Ballet School ” in Alberta,Canada. When she came back she went to the “Encuentro 540” and there she received a scholarship for the San Diego Ballet summer intensive 2023. Then she started training in “Calena, centro de danza y ballet” another ballet school in her hometown.

In 2023 she went to the San Diego Ballet summer intensive, and got accepted to the company traineeship 2023-2024.
