2026 Nutcracker Auditions
Sundays, July 26th & Septemeber 20th
You Only Need To Attend One Audition Date
Dorothea Laub Dance Place, Studio 207 2650 Truxtun Rd, Ste. 102, San Diego, Ca. 92106.
Men & Women: Over 5’2″ – 9:00am-10:30am
(Adv. Ladies bring pointe shoes)
Boys & Girls : Under 4’2″ – all levels 5+ 10:30am-11:30am
Boys & Girls : 4’2″ -4’8″ – all levels ages 7+ 11:30am-12:30pm
Boys & Girls : 4’8″ – 5’2″ – all levels ages 9+ 1:00pm-3:00pm
There will be a $200 audition/commitment fee due at the audidion.
This fee covers all studio rehearsals, stage rehearsals & costumes.
Checks made out to “San Diego Ballet”. Cash or credit cards accepted
If using a credit card there is a 5% processing fee added.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes early, as various forms need to be filled out and dancers must be organized into groups and given audition numbers.
To save time at the audition, please download, print and fill out the following required forms and bring them with you.
Most rehearsals are on Sundays in Studios 207/100/103 although some older groups will also be on Saturdays beginning in early October. All Nutcracker information and rehearsal schedule will be given out at the Mandatory Parent Meeting on Saturday, October 3rd, 12:30pm to 1:30pm in studio 100.
Nutcracker costume fittings will be held on Thursday December 17th at The Magnolia Theatre.
Dress & Tech rehearsal will be held on Friday December 18th at The Magnolia Theatre.
Two Performances on Saturday December 19th at The Magnolia Theatre at 1pm and 5pm.
One Performance on Sunday December 20th at The Magnolia Theatre at 1pm.
