A Celebration of SDB’s Resident Composers
San Diego Ballet will present LOS MÚSICOS at the Lyceum Theatre, April 3rd-5th. This passionate, red-hot show brings the joys of live music and ballet together to celebrate the continued relationship between SDB and its resident composers Charles McPherson and Gilbert Castellanos. The weekend of performances marks the return of living jazz-legend McPherson’s sensuous work Song of Songs plus his new A Tribute to Charlie Parker’s Centennial. It will also feature a world premiere of Mi Gente y Mi Ciudad, a six-movement composition with a Latin Afro-Cuban vibe by acclaimed jazz musician and composer Castellanos.
