Kirsten’s thoughts: I was 4 years when my mother was finally able to find a ballet studio in South Africa that would allow me to take class. I think that I had worn her out with the constant begging to dance. I don't know where the desire and passion to dance came from, but it certainly has never left. I have to dance! I believe we don't choose to dance; dance chooses us and then leaves us restless until we are sharing the passion that drives us. Dancing is my means of expression and everyday I dance, just like every breath I take, is a gift I could not live without.
